VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin Semi-Finals starts today | VCT Semi-finals schedule and matchup
VCT Stage 3 Masters semi-final will be played on September 18, Gambit will play G2 esports in first semi-final whereas 100 Thieves will face Envy in second semi-final. These teams will face each other for $225,000 grand prize and a direct spot in VCT 2021 Championship.
After the quarterfinals on 17 Sep, there are 4 teams remaining in Masters, 2 of them are from North America whereas 2 from EMEA. Both the NA teams will face each other in semi-finals and both EMEA teams in other semi-final game. This means that there is a confirmed NA vs EU Grand Final in Masters Berlin. All of these teams were not the part of Masters 2 in Reykjavik and were debuting their international LAN event.
So far the elimination of defending champions Sentinels so early from the tournament is a big upset, they lost 2-0 to their regional rivals team Envy in quarterfinals. Sentinels finished masters 3 with a 5th-8th place finish and $25,000 but the good news for Sentinels is that they are already qualified for VCT 2021 Championship as they have secured the number 1 spot in North American circuit leader board.
