Team Secret eliminated from ESL ONE Kuala Lumpur 2023

Team Secret's journey in Dota 2 ESL One has come to an end. Team Secret lost to Team Liquid in the playoff's lower bracket and finished the ESL ONE 2023 Kuala Lumpur with a 7th-8th place finish.

Team Secret won $47,500 from the million USD prize pool and 720 ESL Pro Tour points. These points will be crucial for qualifying for other ESL events and Dream League.

Team Secret and Team Liquid face each other in the playoffs of ESL One 2023. This was a lower-bracket elimination game, the winner would have moved onwards to face Team Falcons.

Team Secret had a good showing in the group stage and was tied for second seed with Gaimin Gladiators. They faced GG in the tiebreaker for the spot in the upper bracket of playoffs, this was an unconventional approach as it was a 1v1 mid-matchup between midOne and Quinn. GG's midlaner won this match and secured his team an upper-bracket spot.

Team Liquid won this series 2-0 in straight games of 47 and 49 minutes. Team Liquid looked like the better team in this series and the results showed it. Team Liquid will now face Team Falcons in the lower bracket quarterfinals whereas Team Secret are eliminated from DOta 2 ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
