Dota 2's The International 10 faced yet another problem and had to cancel the ticket sales for the event. This means that their will be no audience and crowd in the arena.
Due to the current rise of Covid in Romania and some local restrictions in Bucharest, valve had to take this step to ensure the safety of players, fans and organisers. Those who purchased tickets will be issued a full refund automatically.
Valve and Dota 2 stated -
We wanted nothing more than to welcome fans live to the event, but we can no longer do so in a way that allows us to prioritize the health and well-being of both audience members and participants. Those who purchased tickets will be issued a full refund automatically.
The International 10 has faced many problems in its organisation due to covid 19. Originally the event was to held in Stockholm, Sweden in 2020 but due to covid 19 it was postponed a year. Then in 2021 due to covid safety protocols Sweden government didn't allow to host the event in Sweden. Therefore Valve was forced to reschedule and host the event in Bucharest, Romania on October 7th. And now again due to covid the ticket sales are canceled and there will be no crowd and fans in arena.
