Valve announces Steam Deck | All in one portable PC
Valve announced their new product Steam Deck, a hand held gaming pc starting from $399. This will be a powerful and a versatile device which will easily run latest AAA titles. The shipping of this product will start in December 2021.
While the fans and experts are considering that valve are launching this product to compete with products like Nintendo Switch, Valve's designer stated that don't consider this device as just a portable console it is a complete Pc which is very powerful. You can use this device as a PC as you can connect any peripherals to it (monitor, keyboard, mouse etc.).
The device will come in 3 different variants. There will be no difference in there graphic performance or built quality the main difference will be there storage capacity.
Valve Steam Deck hardware-
The Steam Deck will have a 7 inch 1280 x 800px touch screen. The product will have 2 precision trackpads to use in game or just use as a mouse/trackpad and it will also come with features like gyro.
There is a great concern regarding the position of d-pads on device as they are at the top of the body along side buttons, which in pictures look like pretty uncomfortable position. But in a recent review IGN mentioned that that it is more comfortable than it looks in pictures and is pretty ergonomic.
The device will have a weight of 670 g which is pretty bulky but not too heavy or uncomfortable.
