LOUD vs OPTIC: Valorant Champions 2022 grand finals preview

Valorant Champions 2022 has reached its final day, only two team remains from the 16 of the world's best teams to compete for the title of 2022 VCT. Brazil's LOUD and NA's Optic Gaming will go head to head in the best of 5 grand finals on Sunday, September 18th. The winner of VCT Champions 2022 will receive 300,000 USD from a million-dollar prize pool.

Optic Gaming managed to defeat DRX in the lower bracket finals and secured their rematch against LOUD in the grand finals. Optic won 3-2 in the best of 5 series:

  • Bind 13-8

  • Breeze 13-5

  • Fracture 8-13

  • Ascent 13-6

  • Haven 13-10

Optic is now in the grand finals of 2022 Valorant Champions and will play against LOUD. These two teams faced each other once in the upper bracket final where LOUD dominated Optic.

VCT Champions started with the top 16 teams from around the world competing for the 2022 world championship. Eight of them moved onto playoffs-

Southeast Asia had a rough final event of the year, all three teams from APAC got eliminated from the group stages of Valorant Champions. Two out of three NA teams qualified for playoffs - Optic and XSET, 100T eliminated. All three EMEA teams made it to the playoffs. Two out of four South American teams qualified for playoffs, KRU and Furia eliminated.
