IEM Katowice 2022 group stage final result and playoff schedule

On the final day of IEM Katowice group stage 4 final series were played, 2 upper bracket finals and 2 lower bracket final.

Group A results-

In lower bracket finals, Gambit faced NiP. The winner of this series would have qualified for quarterfinals while the looser would be eliminated from IEM Katowice 2022. Gambit looked the better team in this series and won 2-0 : Ancient 16-10, Vertigo 16-12 without any struggle.

In upper bracket finals Heroic and Vitus.Pro went head to head to decide the first seed from group A. Both teams were already qualified for playoffs before this series, but the winner of this series would have directly qualified for semi-finals while the looser will need to play quarterfinals. heroic dominated this series and won 2-0 : Mirage 16-5, Vertigo 16-10.

Group B results-

In lower bracket final of group B, G2 and Astralis played in an elimination as well as qualification series. G2 esports after loosing the first map to Astralis destroyed the second and third map. G2 won the series 2-1 : Ancient 12-16, Dust 2 16-5, Inferno 16-1. G2 with this win qualified for quarterfinals.

Navi and Faze played each other in upper bracket final to secure a direct place in semi-finals of IEM Katowice 2022. Both teams were already qualified for playoffs and were fighting got first seed and semi-final spot. Navi won this insane series 2-1 : Overpass 12-16, Dust 2 16-12, Mirage 22-19.
