ESL Pro League 17 Playoffs Results and Schedule | Faze vs Cloud9 in finals

ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs started on March 21st after a month of group-stage action. ESL Pro League Season 17 is hosted in Malta and has a prize of 850K USD. The winner will also get directly qualified for IEM Cologne and Blast World Finals 2023.

ESL Pro League Semi-Finals Results

The semi-finals of ESL Pro League Season 17 are finished and the top 2 teams are decided.

In the first semi-finals, Cloud 9 beat ENCE 2-1, Ancient 10-16, Overpass 16-12 and Vertigo 16-9. In the second semi-finals, Faze beat Navi 2-1, Ancient 7-16, Nuke 16-8 and Mirage 16-9.

Cloud 9 and Faze Clan will face each other in the Grand Finals which will be a best-of-5 series on March 26th.

ESL Pro League Quarterfinals Results

In the quarterfinals of ESL Pro League Season 17, Ence beat Vitality 2-1 and Cloud 9 beat Mouz 2-1 to move onto the semi-finals. On the final day of the quarterfinals, Navi beat Heroic 2-0 and Faze beat forZe 2-1 to move onto face each other in the semi-finals.

Navi won 2-0, Anubis 16-13 ad Inferno 13-8. Faze won 2-1, Inferno 16-13, Overpass 14-16 and Mirage 16-6.

In the first quarterfinal game, Cloud 9 played Mouz. This was Cloud9's first game in playoffs as they got directly placed in the quarterfinals after winning Group A. Their opponent Mouz beat paiN gamin 2-1 in the round of 12 to reach the quarterfinals. Cloud 9 won 2-1, Inferno 10-16, Vertigo 16-11 and Mirage 16-10.

In the second quarterfinals game, Vitality and ENCE played each other. ENCE beat G2 2-0 in the round of 12 whereas Vitality won group C to secure their spot in the quarterfinals. ENCE won 2-1, Nuke 14-16, Overpass 16-11 and Vertigo 16-14.

Season 17 of ESL had 32 teams competing for the title. These 32 teams were divided into 4 groups of 8 teams each. Four teams from each group qualified for the playoffs, 1st seed in the quarterfinals, 2nd seed in Round of 12, and 3rd-4th seeds in the Round of 16.

ESL Pro League 17 format

ESL season 17 had 4 groups of 8 teams each, and from them, 4 teams qualified for the playoffs. The group stage was triple elimination brackets, two teams qualified from the upper bracket and one team each from the middle and lower brackets.

The playoffs have 16 teams, 8 in the round of 16, 4 in the round of 12 and 4 in the quarterfinals. All the games in playoffs will be knockout games with the best of 3 series except the grand finals which will be the best of 5. The grand finals will be played on March 26th.
